Under pressure the elastomer disc behaves like a quasi-fluid medium.

The piezo pressure sensor – the “heart” of the instrument – is located inside the load cell, enclosed by a Solid steel structure where it is best protected from external influences.

This design provides some special advantages:

• The cover which floats upon the elastomer adapts itself automatically to load tilting of up to 3,5%, 2º.

• Radial forces are transmitted from the cover to the pot wall without exerting any fundamental influence on the measurement.

• Low height.

• No maintenance.
